Nishimuraya Sannomiya-ten

  • Hyogo / Kobe & Sannomiya
  • Izakaya & Restaurant

Savor our top-class, choice Kobe beef in its home prefecture, all in the leisurely comfort of a private table.

Serving first-rate beef from Kobe and Tajima as well as other top-class select beef, this restaurant is something of a hideaway in Sannomiya. Stepping into the restaurant, one can see magnificent blocks of beef lining the transparent refrigerators, arousing the appetite. Some may see Kobe beef as an expensive luxury, but this restaurant, 45 years in the running, is under direct management of a meat packing company, allowing it to deliver at reasonable prices.

Enjoy each and every cut of meat

Beginning with marbled beef quickly grilled and served with ponzu sauce (2,030 JPY), the restaurant boasts a line-up of rare cuts: choice kalbi (short rib) (1,814 JPY) and choice rosu (loin/chuck) (1,814 JPY), as well as chateaubriand (3,434 JPY), which a single animal yields only 100 grams, Haneshita loin (2,106 JPY), and Ichibo (aitchbone) (1,814 JPY). Cuts that are better sliced thin are carved thin and others that are better thick are cut thick; each selection is carefully sliced for the optimum dining experience.

A favorite hideaway of the famous

Regularly visited by sports players and celebrities, the foodie appeal of this restaurant lies not only in the taste of Kobe beef. All seating is divided into private booths, allowing visitors to feel relaxed and at home while enjoying their Kobe beef. Surround yourself in a relaxed, traditional Japanese atmosphere, and dine upon the fresh, intricately marbled red meat of Kobe's famous beef.
